Fork Lift Driving & Operating (Novice Course)
Introduction
This is a one-day course designed for participants to understand the engineering principals and safe operational practice of fork lift trucks
Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following skills:
- Safety
- Introduction to fork truck controls and instruments
- Starting, moving, steering and stopping the fork truck
- Hydraulic System
- Pre-shift inspection
- Refueling Procedures
- Weight Assessment
- Handling unladen and laden pallets
- Driving on / off Ramps
- Stacking / Destacking
Where subjects can not be covered practicably then they will be either simulated or covered orally followed by an appropriate theoretical test.
Qualification
On completion of the test, a Forklift Operators Certificate will be issued to successful applicants.
Costs
$350.00 per student for one-day course.
This is a Worksafe approved Licence Accreditation Course.
