Heavy Rigid Course (Non-Syncromesh Gear Box)
Summary
This is a Three-day course conducted from our Deer Park Driver Training Centre with successful students obtaining a Heavy Rigid Licence endorsement. Training will be conducted in a heavy rigid vehicle.
Major Course Elements include:
- Road Law and regulations
- On-road practical driving
- System of vehicle control
- Safe and economical vehicle operation
- Reversing Skills
- Defensive Driving Instruction
- Driver Attitude
- Licence test assessment
- Ratio of training - One student per instructor
Testing
On completion of their training students shall then sit for their Licence Test.
The test is broken down into three components.
- On Road Driving Test.
- Off -Road Reversing Skill.
- Theory test based on the Victorian Truck & Bus Handbook.
Barkly Driving School will issue successful students with a Certificate of Competence. The student must present this certificate to a Vic Roads Office to have their licence endorsed.
Costs
$990.00 per student for three-day course [14hrs]
This is a Vic Roads approved Licence Accreditation Course.
